The Green Coffee Foundation course is designed to introduce basic concepts regarding the consuming side of green coffee. Participants will learn about the specialty coffee supply chain from seed to cup, including cultivation, harvesting, processing, drying, shipping, storage, and delivery.

The principles of coffee growing, processing, grading, and trade and portfolio management are also explored. This course is designed for individuals with no previous experience with the green coffee part of the supply chain.

The Sensory Skills Professional course builds on the concepts and skills introduced in the Sensory Skills Intermediate course and prepares the learner for managerial job functions in the sensory evaluation of coffee and related products.

In this interactive course, learners gain alignment with industry coffee and sensory standards; learn about the implementation of sensory evaluation in a coffee business; acquire the skills required to start identifying and evaluating qualities in specialty green coffee; and demonstrate how to accurately measure and describe coffee beverage characteristics.

Participants will learn how to generate repeatable and methodical sensory measurements of coffee, along with interpretation of those results.

A written exam tests professional course knowledge while a practical exam tests the skills described above based on different working activities carried out during the course.

Course: 2 stars. I dont believe in the new way of cupping, as I am happy with the system I and our suppliers, farmers and exporters have used for me in the last 10 years. It is strange to see SCA change the standard for the format of communication so radicaly from what we have used. 

Host: 5 stars. Julian L was humble, knowledgable and took us trough the course in a great manner. He also took time for good discussions and was also patience with us for questions and arguments.

Location: 3 stars. It would be more practical with a classroom and a cupping lab with more space.

The Processing Generalist course is a short, 200-level processing course that can be given in consuming countries or all over the world. The training part of the course involves lectures, group activities, and cuppings. To be certified, attendees must pass a multiple-choice exam at the end of the course. 

**Who is it for?** Any coffee professional (namely roasters, retailers, baristas) who are willing to learn about the main processing methods and how they impact coffee flavor and chemistry.

**The minimum required age for CQI courses is 16.**

The sensory analysis can be done either using the 2004 SCA Form or the SCA Coffee Value Assessment. 
 
Usually it takes us around 7 working days to send the reports to customers, depending on the number of samples.

**Please specify by email what type of sensory assessment you are looking for: 2004 SCA Form scoring or the CVA (Descriptive/Affective assessments).**

**Please bear in mind that this is NOT a Q Certification by CQI. For that, an ICP (In-Country Partner) has to be contacted directly. More information on the CQI website.**
